We are blessed to share another beautiful story with you today. Ilene shares of the time she had a visit with her son. She recounts this moment in a poem.

The Giggle – by Ilene

I remember a visit
So clear to this day
We met at a park
So that you could play

My heart was just racing
It does every time
The fear of rejection
Always crosses my mind

You arrived right on time
Just waking from a nap
I just wanted to hold you
Maybe have you sit in my lap

You seemed so distant
Not a smile crossed your face
I didn’t want to rush you
So I gave you some space

It was as if I was a stranger
There’s nothing harder to bear
But once you made me giggle
A kiss and a hug you happily shared.
