Hi! We’re Rebecca and Daniel and we are excited and grateful that you’re taking the time to learn more about us. It’s very important to us that we create a home filled with love, peaceful vibes, laughter and adventure and we deeply appreciate you considering us to become parents and expand our family.
We live in Austin, TX with our two dogs, a sweet tripawd named Dash who’s five and a goofy farm dog named Rosie who is two. We met sophomore year of high school and we have been married for almost 13 years. We had an immediate bond that stayed strong through Daniel’s 5 years in the military and Rebecca’s move to New York after college.
We won’t pretend to know how difficult this process and this decision is for you, but we can say that we are prepared to walk alongside you through this unique journey and we want to make it as comfortable and collaborative as possible. We have so much love to give and we look forward to giving it when the time is right.

Our Extended Family
We are lucky to be a 15 minute drive from both sets of parents. Daniel’s mom Tammy is a lifelong mama bear and she loves spending as much time as possible with her granddaughters, Mariposa and Jay, and hosting Sunday family gatherings and pool parties. Daniel’s dad, Matt, is a lover of games and playing pickleball with his sons and is always down to take the family out for yummy meals. Rebecca’s mom Janis loves sending monthly handmade cards in the mail to her granddaughter, Charlotte, and her favorite thing to do with kids and adults alike is to create art projects together. Rebecca’s father, Evan, loves to get on the floor and play with his grandchild, Charlotte, and he is very active in whatever activity she decides they will be playing. Daniel’s three younger brothers – Ben, Jacob and Jordan – all live in Austin and they are extremely close and get together and eat, laugh, play games and debate. Mariposa, 12, and Jay, 8, are Jordan’s kids and they love to be around their aunt Becca and Uncle Danny and are eager to have a cousin to hug on. Rebecca’s older sister Jackie lives in Virginia with her husband Jon and her 3 year old child, Charlotte. They are sooo excited for Charlotte to have a cousin to visit and build a close bond with. Daniel’s mom is one of nine siblings, many of whom live in Austin and have children and grandchildren around and ready for our child to play with.
Our Pets
We have two dogs, Dash and Rosie. Dash is an adorable tripawd who loooooooooves food, getting under a blanket and cuddling against his human, and chasing squirrels with his sister. Rosie loves to play, wrestle with her brother, give big slobbery kisses and toots loudly when she jumps on the couch.
Our Home
We live in a nice, quiet neighborhood with a park, playground and public pool nearby. We are a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive from one of the Lady Bird Lake trails. Our house has a really peaceful and relaxing feel with lots of natural light and a massive couch to lounge, watch movies and have friends and family game nights. We have a screened in back porch with a couch and a massive beanbag chair, and we enjoy sitting out there with our pups and listening to the birds chirping. We have a spacious backyard with a treehouse, swings, a picnic table and hammock. We live in South Central Austin with access to good schools, community and so many different kinds of activities.
How We Met
We met at McCallum Highschool when we were both 15. Our best friends were going on a date and they asked both of us to go with them as buffers. The couple bickered the whole time, but we immediately clicked and became inseparable. Since then we have grown a lot and experienced so many adventures throughout each life phase together. We have experienced some of our highest highs and our lowest lows with one another and we always prioritize communication and support. Our love runs deep and we can’t wait to love our child even deeper.
Parenting Philosophy
The most important thing to us is that our child knows from the very beginning that he or she is deeply loved and nothing will change that. We believe that it is our job to provide a foundation of safety and encourage our child to go out and explore every interest and passion they want to. We want to model a love of learning, a kind spirit, a sense of independence and resiliency and a love of community, friends and family. We want our kid to always feel safe to come and talk to us and tell us anything. We want to provide structure and clear expectations and an environment where we all can learn and grow together. Life can be hard so we want to make sure to provide a lot of laughter, play, adventure and lots of time around friends and family.

I love animals, particularly monkeys, and plan trips around where I can see the most wildlife
If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be a banana split
For my 40th birthday, we organized a large family kickball game and may or may not have had a visit from some cute, adorable goats
I was a stand-in for Sandra Bullock in the movie, The Proposal, and she gave me earrings at the end of the shoot, and I was young and irresponsible and I lost them… (I know!)
I have always loved being a dog mom and I am excited to be a human mom
5 Things About
Daniel
I have a huge family – 3 younger brothers and a younger sister all here in Austin. I have 17 aunts and uncles and over 40 first cousins. My family is loud and close and we laugh a lot. My family is the most important thing in my life.
I still feel like a kid even at 41. I play lots of games, love the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, keep trying to learn to skateboard, and I’m always buying some new toy or game to play with. I also still take occasional naps :)
I joined the Army after high school and served for 5 years and deployed overseas for 1.5 years. I met amazing people and learned a lot about the world and myself.
I love my job (I know that sounds crazy!) I have been very lucky to work at a bunch of different start up companies and help build the businesses from year 1. The challenges in my work keep me driven and focused on learning and improving every year.
My happy place is in a living room packed with all the people I love (and all their dogs) laughing and loud and chaotic.
