Ryan & Xavier

Hello! We are Ryan and Xavier (pronounced like “Javier”). Thanks for taking a moment to view our profile. We have always wanted to become dads through adoption. Our house is in San Antonio, Texas, where we both work as college professors. Ryan is originally from Massachusetts, where his family lives. Xavier was born and raised in San Antonio. Our home is a blend of traditions, drawing on Ryan’s New England background and Xavier’s Mexican American and Ecuadorian heritage. We are blessed with successful careers and a great support network of family and friends. The first rule in our house is unconditional love, and we are looking forward to bringing a child into the center of that home.

Our Home

We live in a one-story mid-century house with a huge yard near the San Antonio Medical Center. Beverly has lots of room to chase squirrels! We have three bedrooms and are just around the corner from a few elementary schools. Xavier’s dad lives just a couple of minutes down the road.

Our Extended Family

Xavier’s dad lives down the street and he has a whole community of cousins, nieces, and nephews in San Antonio and Laredo. He has an older brother who lives in Washington D.C. and visits often with his daughter. Ryan’s parents live in Massachusetts, and he has two brothers and two close aunts living near them. We own a home up there, so we visit often.

What Adoption Means to Us

Adoption is how we have always wanted to build our family. It means helping someone to do right by their child, raising a kid to be a compassionate adult, and leaving behind a legacy of love.
