Hi, I’m Tina.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about me. I can only imagine the strength it takes to be on this journey, and I want you to know that I see you and respect you.

I came to the United States alone in my 20s from China, with very little money and no support system. I worked minimum wage jobs while putting myself through graduate school, slowly building a stable and meaningful life.

Over time, I found a successful career, a cozy home, and a strong community. I proudly became a U.S. citizen and created the kind of life I once only dreamed about. Now, I’m ready to share this wonderful life with a child.

Meet Ugo

I have a sweet, fluffy dog, Ugo. I got him when he was two months old. He is a goldendoodle and has been my best friend for eight years, my faithful guardian angel. He is very gentle and friendly with children, and he always acts like he’s one step ahead of me.

How I Spend My Free Time

I am an avid world traveler and have visited thirty countries across four continents. I dream of one day travelling with my child to new places. I want him/her to experience multiple cultures, hear different languages, and taste the local food.

One of My Favorite Family Traditions

Making and enjoying dumplings together on Chinese New Year’s Eve, filling our home with laughter, love, and the cozy feeling of being together.

FUN FACTS:

I’ve been influenced by multiple religions over the years. I’ve visited Saint Peter’s Basilica, Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, Basilica of the Sagrada Familia, Notre-Dame Cathedral of Paris, Osu Kannon Temple and Church of Saint Sava.

I am fascinated by complex engineering. My first LEGO set was a Technic Bugatti Chiron that included 3599 pieces.

I am a big fan of crime TV shows. I’ve watched 144 episodes spread out over 25 seasons of Midsomer Murders.

I have a large extended family in China – aunts, uncles, and more than twenty cousins and second cousins.

My oldest aunt adopted two children. Adoption has never been a foreign concept in our family.

What Adoption Means to Me

To me, an open adoption is a life long journey built on trust and respect. It’s a promise to lead with kindness, transparency and compassion. It’s a commitment to raising a child who knows that they were deeply loved by two families brought together through hope, sacrifice and unconditional love.

The Little Moment I Am Most Looking Forward to

Walking to our neighborhood playground to play with the other kids, make new friends, and say hello to all the neighborhood dogs.
