We enjoy being active, healthy, and creating unique special memories! Some common activities may involve friendly animal encounters, visiting gardens/ scenic landscapes, and water activities. Thus far, we have had the wonderful opportunity to travel to various countries and see the beauty of different cultures. Nonetheless, we can also have the best time enjoying a fun game night with pizza at home. Lastly, we are foodies that enjoy finding all the hidden gems.

We met through a professional match maker setting us up on a blind date in early 2023. Needless to say, it was the perfect match and Tom proposed June 2023, and we enjoyed a romantic elopement in Santorini, Greece in the fall of 2023.

We might have happy tears on our first Christmas together knowing that we have received the most special gift in our lives! The Christmas outfits, gingerbread decorations, sounds of Christmas, kitchen full of treats, and opening presents with family would be like a dream come true.

We have a retreat-style home in a peaceful gated neighborhood. It has 4 bedrooms, an office, game room, and a covered patio perfect for family gatherings on a wooded acre of land. There are many families in the neighborhood and we are adjacent to a park with trails, playground, and disc golf.

We will provide unconditional love, guidance, and teach our child healthy boundaries and a moral framework, along with meeting all of their needs. We will lead by example and protect him/her at all costs. We look forward to many teaching moments and an active childhood where the child can play outside. We are open to homeschooling but nonetheless envision a lot of quality time especially with Brenda being a stay-at-home mom (at least in the early years). We will create and maintain an environment where a child can grow, be safe, find their interests, and learn how to spread their wings with time.

Our siblings and “grandma” are in Houston and ready to welcome a new member to the family as well as a little cousin that can’t wait to have play dates! We also have our local church family that is a valuable part of our village. Tom also has family in New York who visit from time to time and vice versa.

We both have had the opportunity to be loved by step parents and it has greatly impacted our lives, demonstrating to us that love is the most powerful human force. Adoption means that we become and ARE family. When we think of adoption, we can’t help but think of the story of baby Moses. His mother found herself in very difficult circumstances and had to make a decision that was best for him. She placed her child in a basket along the banks of a river, not because she didn’t love him, but so that he could have a future. Another woman found the basket and loved the baby as her own naming him Moses meaning “drawn out of the water.”
