Daniel & Nathan

Hello, welcome to our page! We’re Nathan and Daniel, a duo bound by love, laughter, adventure, and a shared dream of welcoming a little one into our vibrant home. In our lives together, we have built a haven where board games spark intellect, home-cooked meals warm the soul, and every room tells a story of art, culture, and the loving company of friends and family. Our passion for exploration calls us away to the beauty of nature. Our home, our adventures, and our hearts await the arrival of a tiny spirit we will have the privilege of helping to grow.

Things We Can’t Wait to Do as a Family

Play board games all weekend long | Read The Berenstain Bears and the Messy Room (Nathan’s Bible for Home-making) | Eat Injera and Fasolia | Visit the whole world | Celebrate Arbor Day | Sing and dance to “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” (Whitney Houston) | Watch Labyrinth | Discover who they will choose to become | Hike Long’s Peak

Our Puppy Piper

Piper is our constant companion who greets us with boundless joy at the door no matter if we were gone for five days or five minutes. She cuddles closely on cold nights and her antics have us laughing even on the toughest days. Every evening, as the neighborhood quiets down, we share in her adventures seeking out the nocturnal critters that spark her fascination.

Out in Nature

Spending time outdoors is essential to us. In our backyard, tending to the garden or simply soaking up the sun provides a peaceful retreat from daily life. Going for walks on the trails around our neighborhood allows us to appreciate the local plant life. Hiking in national parks is a favored activity because it offers an immersive experience in some of the most stunning and diverse landscapes our country has to offer. These moments in nature, whether close to home or on a grander scale, are invaluable to us for our sense of wellbeing and the simple joy they bring.

OUR HOME

Our house is more than just a structure of beams and walls; it’s a foundation and sanctuary where we will soon nurture a new life together. It is a vessel for our loving life together and this is what makes it a home. We are settled in a neighborhood that is filled with trees and young families. We are walking distance to the school and our neighborhood has a nature preserve, pool, and several playgrounds. As we stand on the cusp of adopting a baby, every corner of our house hums with the anticipation of a child’s homecoming and providing a lifetime of comfort.

OUR HOBBIES

Our hobbies are reflections of who we are and what we cherish. Daniel is as comfortable with a set of complex board game strategies as he is with a toolbox in hand. His love for math and science compliments his joy of building, from constructing a piece of furniture to tackling repairs around the house. Nathan finds his joy in the creative world. He has a great eye for design and immerses himself in film, music, art, and theatre. His love for cooking is how he gathers our friends and family around us. Together, our hobbies not only define us but also unite us in creating a home filled with learning, laughter, and love.

What Adoption Means to Us

It’s simple: LOVE. Adopting a child represents a profound, life-altering commitment that extends beyond the simple act of expanding a family—it’s the beginning of a heartwarming journey filled with love, learning, and growth. It means embracing a precious new life with open arms, providing a haven of security, affection, and opportunity. It is also an opportunity to grow our chosen family by developing a close relationship with the birth parents. Adoption is a testament to the strength of love, transcending biological ties and celebrating the diverse forms that family can take.
